Welcome to Issue 200.

Two hunderd newsletters! Thank you for reading, commenting and sharing.

The past week I worked on two websites. Finished and launched the website for Dutch hat designer Berry Rutjes and worked on the upcoming online Variable Font Course website. Both run on WordPress with Woocommerce because that is one of the most flexible solutions to have in the Netherlands when you want to receive payments using the popular payment method iDeal.

Berry Rutjes hosts annually around 15 live workshops. Host three online masterclasses and needed a calendar + ticket shop that integrated easily with Woocommerce. Because she wanted one place to sell her collection and workshop tickets. In the past, she used Eventbrite, Stager, and Eventix to sell tickets. But the integration between these ticket providers and WordPress isn't optimal. Plus it cost a lot of extra time, to learn and maintain multiple platforms.

After testing all popular event calendar plugins, we landed on the fairly new plugin Event Manager and Tickets Selling Plugin for WooCommerce. The clever way the developers integrated the ticket sales into the Woocommece product page is refreshing. It surprise me actually that no one came up with this solution before. The well-thought-through out-of-the-box calendar views and detail pages layouts are a delight in comprising with Events Calendar or Modern Events Calendar.

If you are planning to sell physical or digital products and tickets and have already a Wordpress site, I would recommend looking at the Event Manager plugin. It's a solid solution. When you want more information or need help with web development send me a message.

In the coming weeks, we'll launch the Variable Font Course site. Sign up to be the first to get notified.
