Welcome to Issue 202.

5 badass design conferences happening in and around Copenhagen, Denmark, this year. What have these annual events in common? They are community-driven and designed to have interaction, interaction between participants, speakers, and the local community. And yes, they are in-person and hybrid too.

I visited Copenhagen once, briefly, on my way back from Odense after One Day Out. Since then I’m fascinated by the city and all the creative events that are happening in and around the capital of Denmark. These events merge the magic of festivals into in-depth conferences to explore alternative futures.

This is the first in a series of articles where we highlight 5 or more annual design conferences that are happening in a specific city or country, and are worth attending. Read the feature.

25 - 26 March, 2022 / Stockholm / 150 SEK

As part of the Post Design Tangle, four amazing speakers talk about their practices at our upcoming lecture series at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Sweden. Unraveling the theme of “entanglement” the Post Design Tangle spans two years and four locations. Each event, or “chapter”, has its own tangled focus, and the first one is digging into the knotty realm of PRACTICE. CHAPTER 1: PRACTICE will investigate how design is never neutral: Methods, tools, education, and creative practices are enmeshed with politics, ideology, and an interconnection of histories. What does it mean to take those knots seriously, and what can we learn from practitioners tangled up in disciplines? The two-day symposium is held in English and open to the public—both virtually and in-person.
