Announcement: The Art Department Eindhoven, 18+19 April

Europe’s biggest festival on design and craft of film, animation and games is returning to its home base Klokgebouw in Eindhoven (18+19 April). The Art Department is a 2-day fest where the love for craftsmanship prevails and a place where the industry gathers and new talent unfolds itself.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR STUDIOS

The carefully curated program highlights every aspect of the creative process, showcasing all angles of craftsmanship and design for film, animation and games.

Think artist talks by artists such as Harry Potters’ concept artist Rob Bliss (UK), Pirates of the Carribean character designer Crash McCreery (USA), concept artist on Dr. Strange Karla Ortiz (USA), visual development artist Sylvain Marc (FR) who worked on Pixar’s Luca and layout and background designer Armand Serrano (USA) who contributed on classics like Mulan, Lilo & Stitch and Tarzan. 

Also joining are the Indian illustrator Somnath Pal (Sons of Ram, Court) and UK-based Form Play (Google, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Sephora). More to be announced. 

Besides inspiring artist talks there is a full package of side program showcasing industry trends and offering recruitment options.
