🤩 Featured Summer School
Want to spend your Summer in a useful, inspiring, and fun way? During a new Graphic Matters Summer School, from 16 - 24 August, you can develop your skills, make new friends, and of course meet design masters.
This year, Summer School is all about 3D design! The program consists of four masterclasses, hosted by international design professionals. There’s also an additional program with excursions, workshops, and talks. Are you a graphic designer, illustrator, and/or artist and like what you hear? Then apply for the Graphic Matters Summer School!
The participation fee for every masterclass is €150,- for students and €250,- for professionals.
You can apply until July 4th. Graphic Matters will let you know if you’ve been selected in week 27.

20 - 23 June, San Fransisco / All-day
SmashingConf SF is a friendly, inclusive event that is focused on real-world problems and solutions. 2 days, 1 track, 14 speakers, 300–400 attendees and a bunch of hands-on workshops. Their speakers rarely show slides: they show how they work — their setup, techniques and shortcuts for getting work done in live interactive sessions. So expect everything from refactoring and debugging to sketching and redesign, live.

24-26 June, Maastricht / All-day
On 24, 25, and 26 June the makers and artists that contributed to the Prepper Paradise exhibition will come and present their works during The Maker is Present at Bureau Europa.
A diverse program of interviews, guided tours, and city walks offers you the unique opportunity to meet the makers of the exhibition by guest curator Ward Janssen, to learn about their outlook on the Apocalypse and whatever will follow after.
In Prepper Paradise, Bureau Europa investigates the imagining of uncertain futures, whether they be caused by geopolitical chaos, war, or the climate crisis. The works by designers, artists, scientists, and architects present the prepper culture's luxury, ethic, and DIY characters in a design fiction debate where visual utopias meet with dystopian times.
You can come and visit the exhibition at Bureau Europa till the 14th of August.

VidCon brings fans face to face with digital creators from a variety of fields for panel discussions, Q&As, workshops, performances and more.
30 June, Paris & Live- stream
Part of Type Paris is the Thursday evening lecture series. Each week two guests speak about their recent projects. This week with Marta Cerdà Alimbau and Ian Party.

Learn how to take Glyphs to its full potential: Glyphs core team Georg Seifert and Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer (who speaks French) will help you unlock the secrets of Glyphs, playing with Variable fonts technology! A unique chance for all local designers to learn some of the features that make their favorite vector tool so unique. This is a joint effort with Glyphs.
