Post Design 📅 Friday, 14 to Saturday, 15 April 2023📍 Copenhagen, Denmark 🇩🇰 POST is a platform working to challenge the place of visual culture and communication in society while addressing the ethics of design, the politics of image-making, and the unknowns of our creative futures. In four chapters, the festival takes us deep into the theme of “entanglement,” where they will unravel the intersections, interconnections, and invisible strings that give shape to our visual and political surroundings. The third chapter, COMMUNITY, takes place April 14 - 15 in central Copenhagen, Denmark, bringing together six wildly inspiring designers and artists for two intense days of talking, listening, and socializing. 🍿 Watch Back - Jo Roca from For The People (HOB) at The Design Conference 2022

The video is a talk by Jo Roca, the Creative Director for For The People, given at The Design Conference 2022. Roca discusses his journey towards realizing the responsibility and accountability of designers in the current political climate and their impact on society. He shares his personal belief that designers should align their personal value system with their work ethic, and discusses the challenges of doing this in a commercial environment where branding is often linked with capitalism. Roca also talks about a project he worked on in West Coast Tasmania, where he and his team built an identity for a community dependent on declining Heritage Industries.
