On 11 January 2024, the Wim Crouwel Institut will open the year with a new 'It's All Graphic'. This time, we explore the hybrid dual role of graphic designers and publishers. Five designer-publishers share their thriving practice and engage in a conversation about their approach to publishing, the different roles they play, their motivations and the diversity of results they achieve, from monumental to ephemeral, from aesthetic to activist, from paper book to radio play. Moderators Roosje Klap @roosjeklap and Astrid Vorstermans @valiz_books_projects will lead the conversation and explore how this diversity of perspectives and experiences can offer a dynamic future for designers and publishers alike. The language of discussion this evening is Dutch, by exception, as the speakers this time are all it Dutch-speaking regions. RSVP: [email protected]

This Year

This year I look forward to the return of Us by Night in 26-28 September after 3 years. That Forward Festival is coming to Amsterdam 23-24 May. Pictoplasma celebrated its 20th anniversary 1-5 May in Berlin, and that FEED returns for a second edition in November, more on that later this year.
